Our Principal Physiotherapist, Tina Koutsoullis, is a highly qualified practitioner providing evidence based treatment. Tina is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association and continues to attend ongoing educational seminars to keep up to date.

“I have worked as a Physiotherapist for 21 years focusing on treatment of various conditions-Orthopaedic, Sports Injuries (kids, adolescents and adults), Back & Neck pain, Jaw pain, Balance/Vestibular problems and Work Related Injuries. I have an interest in treating neck, headaches and jaw pain. I have spent years studying the jaw. I obtained a Master’s Degree studying the jaw before I became a Physiotherapist. Also, treating the shoulder (rotator cuff tears, reconstructions and frozen shoulders) and pregnancy care are also areas I often treat. “

Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney in 2000

Masters of Science in Medicine at the University of Sydney in 1998 studying the TMJ and jaw muscles in detail.

Bachelor of Science (Neuroanatomy) with Honours at the University of NSW in 1989 studying the brain (neurotransmitters serotonin and GABA) and memory

Interests

Keeping fit and active doing pilates reformer exercises, weight training, gym workouts and long bushwalks.

Our Physiotherapy Treatments

Treatments are on-to-one consultations in a private treatment room. The initial consultation is 45 minutes (sometimes up to 1 hour) and subsequent about 30 minutes. At Fit & Active Physiotherapy, Tina will assess you, observe your range of movement and use a hands on approach. Time will be taken to workout a diagnosis and a treatment plan during your recovery period.
